Lynmouth is a village in North Devon, at the mouth of the River Lyn on the Bristol Channel. The village was described by artist Thomas Gainsborough as "the most delightful place for a landscape painter this country can boast". Our poster is reproduced from a 1925 Shell Oil poster painted by Charles Fouquery, who also painted the Monnow Bridge poster.
