Theories abound on the meaning of this scene, in which the lady appears outside of her tent, surrounded by many creatures and "mille fleurs," a thousand flowers. Her servant holds a box of jewels, and the lady is either taking out a necklace, or putting it back in. Is it personal wealth, or a gift from a lover, or ... ?
Our fine art cushions are Jaquard-woven all-cotton tapestries from Belgium; they are not prints. The zippered cover comes stuffed with a USA-made cushion. Flat size is 19"x 19"; stuffed size is 16"x 16"x 6".
