A purple, lilac and green Fox & Chave silk habotai scarf featuring an element of one of more than two hundred paintings in the Waterlilies series by Claude Monet (1840-1926). This one was painted between 1916 and 1919.
Monet began the series of paintings of Waterlilies, or Nympheas, in 1897 and continued to add to it for the best part of the next 30 years, right up until his death.
