New! This 1870’s textile design was for use in curtains or wall coverings. Morris taught himself to weave from instruction manuals and from this he learnt to produce complex woollen structures to replicate the effect of medieval tapestries. Used in Morris’ own London home, Kelmscott House, the Peacock & Dragon textile drew on medieval influences and became one of his most successful furnishings.
